I understand it’s rough out there but this could potentially have you in a situation where you’re being illegally exploited. Find out immediately.
Didn’t you sign a contract
Sorry you are having to go through this. When companies have the upper hand hiring wise in most cases (like in today’s economy/job market). I’ve even had it done to me when my job was shifted internally to another department / line of reporting when I was due for a raise.
Anyway, it’s BS. Push for it. And be VERY wary of your hiring manager; the fact that they have done this in the first place with no explanation is a bad sign. I’ve NEVER thought of doing this. NEVER.

That is insane. Whenever I have received an offer the salary is usually one of the first things they mention.
I did have one company drag their feet on sending me the formal written offer, which resulted in my delaying my start date. But, even then, I had the informal offer (an email) that included details like my salary.
You should tell them that you cannot start - or give notice if you need to - until they give you the full written offer. If that written offer does not include your salary, do not sign it until it has been added.
Agreed and good advice
Heyalll no! Lol you don’t ever accept without knowing that stuff? Would you buy a house or car without knowing how much it was
#1) Did they not disclose salary? #2) Some companies hold back 1st weeks check, #3) Are they paying weekly or biweekly? If #2) & #3) are or if you were on boarded in the middle of a pay cycle, it's not unusual to not see any check till week 3...
This is crazy!
Very Interesting. But I would have to say that every work atmosphere and inclusion is different. This could be a test internally to see what type of person you are, and where your faith lyes. It could be anything. Make sure before taking on any job that pay is negotiated before you start. Otherwise, I would definitely stop asking. Just be patient, and see what they have for you. 🤷🏾♂️💯😉
Never have experienced that really. I’m wondering why they’d do that. I would’ve not accepted until they told me. Hope they bring it up soon.
How is this possible?
