I got an offer to join a major company after I graduate. In 3 months they will run a background check. 8-9 years ago I had a drug charge that was DISMISSED. I was in an abusive relationship back then but sought therapy and I've been sober for many years. Do I need to worry about the dismissed charge coming back to haunt me? I've heard in Texas employers only look back 7 years, and I've also heard since it was dismissed it wouldn't come up at all. Any advice?

2yrs of post-undergrad experience at D and have offers from two FAANG companies. Worth it to stick it out for a couple more years to open up more offers down the road, or should I get out while I can?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

There’s now a lawsuit in Texas challenging PREP. How much longer do y’all plan to live in the US? This is actually how I predicted this would unfold. That folks with moral objections would file a lawsuit like this, and then get it up to The Church for review, and then overturn Lawrence v Texas. This is just happening a lot faster than I thought.

Got a letter of default and acceleration notice from bank who repurchased my mortgage due to what they thought was mortgage fraud but wasn’t. I’m contacting a lawyer but has anyone gone through this? I know they want it off their books and suggesting I refinance but my rate will increase and they’re demanding legal fees too
