Anyone feel like self-control is more difficult on stimulants in general? Like reflecting back on things, thinking before speaking, holding out on pleasure activities

I definitely notice that I talk a lot more and sometimes it’s hard to stop talking. I don’t get any complaints from anyone, but I do ruminate on my own over-talking. Rumination is harder to stop as well

I also feel this digital strategist. Sometimes though I worry that I offended somebody or said something stupid and sit and worry that I’m going to get in trouble for what I said. Socially and outside of the work setting I agree, if I upset somebody and they didn’t bring and give me a chance to clarify or fix what i said , that’s their problem.

Personally, it's easier for me but marginally.

The way I would describe it is I used to go from thought to action immediately. Now I go thought->wait for a second-> action.

Is the 1 second enough? Depends. But better than before imo.

I’m learning all the varieties. Maybe a different one may be a better fit? Are you in therapy as well? Looking for a good one.

Which brand are you taking? Maybe talk to your doctor about switching if it's making things worse.

Delmosart

Could be a dosage issue, too. I'd def mention it to your prescriber and see what they think.

Glad there's a space like this for you to address this. It's all about finding the sweet spot. Maybe alter your dosage and there's the possibility this could subside.

Hmm I haven't noticed that at all. Not to say it doesn't happen but I don't think that is the case for me. However, I am on a low dose of adderall so that could also be why.

Talk to your doc, preferably a psychiatrist. If these things are interfering with your life significantly/negatively, you may need to reconsider your dose and/or the other drugs you're taking.

Could be as simple as changing dose 5mg less.

Ok so ! Medication is a life changing life style for me , ! Work mostly , with all these prescription back orders and no signs of restock anytime Soon,
My dr had me on adderall for the past 15 yrs , and is my life support basically , now that’s not available any longer anywhere , so she my Dr, prescribes riddilin! It worked , ans I adjusted , now that’s on back order , ! I’m always ok for the first two weeks , (we’ll that’s. A stretch ) but I have to work really hard to calm my thoughts and focus on work tasks , while battling dyslexia all at once ! Has anyone been experiencing this back order issue and , what stimulants have you tried that doesn’t make you go to sleep , ???? She gave me straterra! Ohh hell no! I went into a sleep coma , big fail ! Any suggestions????
Help!!!!!!!!

Straterra has really bad health concerns for men. Super high chance of it effecting prostate. Read up on it. Effects all of that.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 40. Tried Vyvanse for a couple of months. It works in terms of depriving grogginess, afternoon post meal crash, and suppressing appetite (at times).

However, I still needed help planning/prioritizing my day,  listening and active note taking, and keeping myself accountable. So decided to replace meds with coffee. Also, the fact that most people on meds had to progressively increase their medication over time did not sit well with me. (cont'd)

Looking for some advice. I'm 35 turning 36 soon. After 2 months of trying with my husband, I got pregnant. We were so happy until finding out 7 weeks later we miscarried. My doctor is telling me to wait another 6 months and keep trying. Then we would start looking at fertility and going down that route. It has been 2 months and haven't gotten pregnant (after the miscarriage). I'm thinking of setting up an appointment with fertility clinic now versus waiting another 4 months. Any advice for me?

Benefits Question: how is the health insurance where you are? How does your employer handle it?

This has become one of the most important things when interviewing for me. My last employer went from having no insurance option to giving us one terrible plan that they contributed 50% towards. My current employer works with Gravie so we get so much per month and can use it towards any plan on the marketplace. Only thing that sucks is the contributions are post-tax so it counts as income.

Tell me your craziest experience working with a TV network. Here comes mine:

I'm American, but my family is mostly Colombian. I was told my aunt and cousins would come here for 2 weeks. I discovered they were going to be paid to appear in a famous Hispanic TV show, where a "judge" receives a case, hears the plaintiffs and defendants and renders a verdict. But of course, it's all fake and payed 😂 turns out she wanted me to go there (even though I don't work for that TV network) so she's sure she'll be paid at the end of the show. Wth did I just do.

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

I'm watching the film "The Disruptors" and just crying (hellooooo emotional regulation issues). But it's so validating and frustrating at the same time. I've had a terrible several months at work, and I am relating so hard to the struggles even of the school kids in this. Like my boss is the teacher throwing me into the hallway because they are tired of me. It's also comforting to see who has excelled at their passion with it, even if I can't quite find mine and feel like I'm failing.
