I’m not sure how this will impact this bowl, but it is worth pointing out the need to assess whether there should be concern for those in this bowl. While we all understand ADHD is something attorneys are completely capable of managing with legal positions, not everyone in the field agrees with that. https://joinfishbowl.com/post_va66ztgmkw

Turn your phone screen black and white so there’s no color. The lack of color will lessen the desire to mindlessly scroll on your phone.
Settings: Accessibility > Display & Screen Text > Toggle Color Filters on & select Grayscale
I found this trick on TikTok, tried this while studying for finals and it works so much for me.
Hopefully this helps!
I stumbled on this app “one sec” that just makes you wait a sec before letting you get on specific apps. Really good for preventing that behavior of opening Insta or Twitter for a hit of dopamine
I work from home and whenever my brain gets tired i jump on my phone, which isn’t good. I’ve started to force myself to get up and put something away or wash a couple of dishes so I can move and clear my mind at the same time. So far my breaks have been a little longer than Id like (15-20 minutes) but i find that my brain is more refreshed than if I scroll.
Delete the apps and redefine whether you truly often “have to have” your phone. For work I kinda get it. But for example, what happens if you aren’t on your phone for 30 min? 1 hour? Once you start filling your time with other stuff it gets easier.
It really is a slippery slope. I’ll do that too, get on my phone for a legitimate reason, then 20 minutes later I’m just scrolling on something. Appreciate sometimes you need it close and to do things, but outside of that I try to put my phone out of arm's reach and ask myself what I really need to do on it before unlocking it.
Intentional Discipline.
I set time limits on my most-used apps. I think all social media is lumped into one, which is fine for me because I don’t use it that often. I limit that to 30 minutes/day across apps. You can snooze the limit, but having one really keeps me mindful of how much off track I’m going. At least then it’s an intentional choice rather than being sucked down a rabbit hole.
