It seems to me that this would be one: There is no place for faith in science, scientists have no faith and do not believe in God, because all their thoughts are rational.
Misconceptions about the scientific process itself are common. For example, many people believe that scientists are constantly in competition with one another, or that they always try to disprove previous findings. In reality, scientists are constantly collaborating and building on one another's work.
A misconception about science is that it is always straight forward and without error. In reality, science is an ongoing process of discovery and understanding, and as such, it is subject to error just like any other human endeavor.
