Has anyone here jumped from Consulting (1+ years) into a Manager position in Industry?

Is Facebook still a desired exit from consulting? I feel like everyone is talking amazon google microsoft these days. I’m in final round FB interview and worried it’s in the decline and may limit my opportunities in 5 years.

So happy to finally be posting with my new title! I’ve been looking to get into a Product department since early 2020. In my case resilience was key in the face of constant, daily rejections. Also I’m in my 40s so don’t lose hope! It’s never too late to pivot your career.

I’ve been working here for 2 years and my company is well established and the job is easy, but I honestly just want higher pay. I see companies (smaller and larger) that potentially can give me that but would it be worth it? I was told to expect a written offer from one of the Big4 soon, however the HR team has stated that they are experiencing a back-log and will get back to me as soon as they hear back. I have been following up for the past 3-4 weeks and can’t help but feel nervous that it won’t fall through. Has anyone been in this situation with the Big4? Can they ghost you if they have already given you an offer (via phone) and you have settled compensation and start date with them verbally?

I have my last day at employer A right before thanksgiving and will be covered on their health insurance through 11/30. I am taking some time off before starting a new position with employer B in mid January but their insurance wouldn’t be effective until 2/1.
