My sister did without a PhD. She used her Masters and how what she’s doing benefits America and it got approved in March.
Good luck!
I’ve looked into it, and yes, you can get approved without a PhD. The key is proving you’re solving important problems and bringing something unique, as well as having at least a Master's degree. I’d start gathering solid letters and results that show how you’ve moved the needle. What’s your standout achievement?
Thank you! No standout achievement per se but can think of putting together something with the help of a lawyer!
I have seen many Big 4 consultants use NIW as a last ditch resort to find a way to get to I140 and renew H1B but it has not proven a winning strategy. The work composition of consulting even including tech consulting doesn't real sync up with the 3 prongs of an NIW all that well. EB2 NIW is probably the 2nd most difficult I140 trial after EB1A with an added complexity of showing the national interest connection which is not a requirement in EB1A. I'd say if you have to build a case it will have to lean on a portion of your academic life though there is an element of relevance and recency.
I did EB 2 NIW only on bachelors and 7yrs of work experience. It really depends on how your lawyer presents your skills and expertise. My NIW was approved in 9 months during the pandemic.
Which lawyer firm!
Aww
Yes, to all your questions. But if I were you, I would read the policy manual thoroughly, start putting together a one-pager, and talk to different law firms to find a good fit. Primarily, you would be looking for a firm that has some experience handling cases related to your background.
While it's possible to get without a PhD, it's not common. Would you consider working on publishing or even enrolling in a PhD program to be able to stay? I know that's a huge commitment. But sometimes people keep their day jobs while doing it.
Thanks for your proving statements. Probably not a PHD but might need to consider
