That really depends if you are salary or hourly. If you are hourly, just tell them you want to save the company money and you feel like you’re taking advantage by getting paid when everything is completed. That typically works. If you are salary, good luck getting out early. They won’t care. They just want you there for your entire shift. They pay you the same amount either way.
The biggest thing is not to offer to do other stuff. Once you do that, they will take advantage of you. Never volunteer to do work outside of your job description without more money. If you do, you will find yourself doing so much that you will not have time to complete everything. And that will become a daily occurrence.

Indeed! When I am done with my tasks, I typically volunteer to help, but I politely tell them how much time I have left on my shift.
You work at a store with nothing to do? I’m always running around like a 🐓🔪🐤, we’re on 2 coverage and have multiple BOPIS and 100+ SFS per day.
