Just got a job offer but they are only giving me until Monday afternoon to decide. I'm currently in process at several other firms and the recruiter said they can't/won't give extensions. Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).

I work at M&A Strategy. But we hardly do any M&A activities (that are limited to separation and integration) and I want move eventually to PE/VC. Do you think I should look for other working options?

I don't want to give up equity in the firm for several reasons but I do need to incentivize my team.
