People usually get multiple shots. Failing obviously isn’t helpful to your career, but it there’s no reason it has to be the end.
Was bar passage by a certain time a condition in your offer letter when you lateraled? I ask because I’ve seen that before and I know a lateral attorney that failed the new state’s bar and was let go. But, I’ve also seen firm’s give someone a second attempt.

My offer letter says that I must take the Ca bar in july and comply with all admission requirements. It also mentions that it’s firm policy to be admitted to the bar in the state in which you are resident. That’s it really
