Loving the inclusion here. But would hope they would follow up with a safety guide to LGBT travel or something given what we can and do experience in travel, even in the US. Thoughts?

I’ve been to Dubai and had a positive experience. I’ve also never experienced travel-related racism though.
I’ve been to Dubai, didn’t experience anything negative tbh. I toggled between Abu Dhabi and Dubai for 6 months. It helped understanding and respecting their customs, especially around dress codes in the mall and the mosque if you end up going to Abu Dhabi. Lot of opulence evident in Dubai - from cars to shopping, and you’ll see that it has quite the expatriate community. A few good live music spots for lounge and jazz. Some spots are alcohol free zones, so plan accordingly. The gold market was where I recall getting stared at a lot and being asked for photos…. I’m Black I swear 🤦🏾♀️! Overall a great experience, take the trip!
Why did they ask for photos at the gold market ?
Yes I have
I never have but I have always wanted to go there. It just looks like such a great place to go. I have several black girlfriends who have been and they absolutely loved it. Had the time of their lives.
