Happy to review and refer for Deloitte UK
Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Felt similarly when I left D. as a sr. Manager, took a hit on base but total comp was similar. I felt that long term the opportunity in both career and total comp potential was better at Google for someone who want to do tech work. First few months were hard to get used to, such a different work culture....but I haven't regret it. Almost 2 years in
For tech roles, your observation is correct. Level translates to YOE. Up for SM this year and was offered L4, and know of one SM who came in at L4 level. It's all ladder dependent.
I am more technically inclined, so I enjoy the role and will be moving up quickly, but it depends on your team, opportunities, and internal politics etc.
For non tech roles, I think Ms and SMs can comfortably come in at L6 level, or even SCs with a ton of experience. By non tech, referring to StratOps, Program Managerment, or sales teams.
...more junior than what I do now especially given I have good chances for the SM promotion next year. It’s pretty much the work C and SC would do on my team, individual contributor. On the other hand I really want to gain different experience (never worked in the industry), travel less, work closer to the product, and earn more. The roles range from project manager to system and data controller (which is similar to technical PM) from what I understand). Is it normal when you switch to the industry role? I have 12 YOE and live in SF.

What’s your TC? I think Google tends to push down a level but the TC will still be more than you make now. I was downgraded to entry level but make more than a Senior Consultant makes at Deloitte

If u can even get L4, you’ll be making a lot more
G1 what level did you enter google at? What are some of the particular difficulties you encountered as a noogler? Thanks in advance for any insights!
I would prefer not to share TC .... But I'll say that I felt the initial offer was competitive enough with enough future to make the change....I didn't even pay attention to the level until I was in....
Technical ladder TC btw is a bit different
