I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

His TC is close to $400K - it’s an engagement manager equivalent role. Wouldn’t an L5 be a more appropriate level?

IF they are technical (as in can actually build designs and maybe implement them) - have him apply to a technical practice.
if all they can't do delivery - they maybe aim for a delivery exec role
also - what did they do for those 11 years - whats their break down of what they were working on
Thanks G1 - he’s hands on. What do you mean by technical practice?
It sounds like a TPM L4. Technical program manager, can work in any product or program at the company that is looking for TPMs, it’s a really standardized ladder.

Levels vary by the group you join. It's not consistent across roles. For example - he could join as an engagement manager as a level 6 but then he would only write SOWs all day long.
He could join one of our elite tech teams but then he would join as a level 4 or 5
He could join as a pre sales engineer and get a level 6 or 7
He could join cloud pso and join as an /5 or L6 depending on team
First step is actually get an offer

Also he won't get 400 right out the gate. Our high salaries come from stock appreciation.
