Have you ever wondered if recruiters actually go through the Git and GitHub links you include in your application? I take time to organize my repositories, document my projects, and showcase my work, hoping it adds real value to my profile. But sometimes I question whether those efforts are truly being reviewed or just skimmed over. Do recruiters genuinely explore candidate repositories or mainly focus on resumes?

Personally I think they just check to see if you have a presence and perhaps how active you are. No recruiter is scanning through Github code repos. The tech team that's interviewing you might though.

Strategies for getting a job at Wieden + Kennedy:

1. Create a competitive shop that will steal all of their clients in the future, forcing them to acquire you today.
2. Become friends with every person at the agency and have them all refer you on the same day.
3. Just win all of the awards.
4. Start showing up to their office with big ideas, and complain about HR not being able to find you in the system occasionally.

I am an account manager. More on the Operation side than sales. I help manage day to day needs of our client, develop training docs, and usually the go to for the coordinators when they can’t solve any issues in the account. I have not received a raise in a little over a year and I feel underpaid with my background. How big of a bump in salary should I request?

Need help on getting a answer where to go with below companies with good work culture and peace of mind.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

Considering a Product Owner role. Any best practices of what questions to ask during an interview? First phase deals with a virtual Teams interview with the recruiter and her manager on Tuesday. Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.

Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.
