BOZZ LIGHTYEAR TO THE RESCUE!!!!
I heard Hamilton is sold out
Bozz is a great company. You'll be fine
If you only want to work in federal and aren't ever interested in working for the private sector or intl company go for it. Suck that govt teet! Federal "consulting" has its various and sundry grim drawbacks but that's another post altogether
Not in federal government. Those goobers still use paper time sheets and cd drives
🙄 it's just a simple typo.Thanks for the help!
Take your shot 😉
I got my MBA from Harvard Upstairs Medical College and it really helped get me into Bozz!
Data warehouses are dead
They just renamed them to analytic marts
It's the federal focus at BAH or really any federal team at Big4/others. Federal is mind numbing. Dumb, lazy clients. Forever long clearance and contracting processes. So much waste and so little productive time. BAH was fine for a while but shifted way more to staff aug so all the above got worse. I hear they're trying to be more strategic again but not sure how that's going. They're great about adopting new technology internally though and using it with clients, which is a plus compared to the far too risk averse Big 4 nonsense. Some project work was also pretty amazing for colleagues of mine (sadly not me) to be a part of, rolling out major programs to millions of people who need help. So it isn't all bad but you have to get lucky.
OP: usually they're hiring for a specific contract so ask which client it's for and where their offices are. Within DC is much better than military bases or even NOVA in terms of quality of client staff. Confirm whether they are looking for real and specific technical skills that you have, vs just a smart person who can get assigned to anything (latter sounds nicer but is bad it may indicate you'd be brought in for one thing but assigned to crap staff aug IT work).

OP: what firm are you with now? I am trying hard not to be overly negative about my former life at BAH... Just be sure it's going to be a good move for you. Great diversity groups at least, I'll say that much.
Be honest about BAH, K1. I recommend just being transparent. He needs to know.
