Hey Peeps, I got an offer from Thoughtworks. I heard that you get some stocks too. But the offer letter does not mention it. HR confirmed it though that there would be a separate communication regarding the same. I have 7.5 YOE and joining as Senior consultant QA. How much stocks value can i expect to get?

I am considering switching careers from architecture to UX design or Product Management, and am unsure about which route I want to take. Is it common for someone to switch between UX and PMing within the same company? If so is it common in both directions? Wondering if I can have a second chance at adjusting my job again later if I change my mind down the road

Looking for some advice on a career change. I work in a technical role and have well-developed soft skills. I want to transition to UX (w/ focus on accessibility). There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?

Hi Fishes.. 6 yoe in SAP SD, i got 2 offers one from Wipro14 lpa role tech lead and other from Infosys for 16lpa role consultant.. i feel in Wipro the role is good but package is very less and in Infosys the role less for my experience and package can also be revised.. what can i do.. need your valuable inputs if i can negotiate with anyone of the company or which i can choose.. So my spouse and I invest separately via different trading accounts. Individual accounts, not joint. Can I work around the wash sale rule with 2 accounts? Sell stock A from one account @ $20 and buy stock A from@second account @ $15? Planning to dump stocks in December last week to get some tax gains and buying on the second account in first week of January.

Any way to get in one of these IPOs prior to them opening up to the wider market?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

Can’t see us going much higher .. thoughts on spy puts?
