With approximately 2.7 years of experience in the financial reporting and consolidation team, I'm contemplating a career move for better growth prospects. I'd appreciate your advice on whether I should consider transitioning to roles like Record-to-Report (RTR), Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), or if sticking with my current role is the wisest choice.

Have an opportunity to finally get out of insurance defense. But not really sold on the firm. Could finally get out of ID, but then could also end up at another place I really don't like. Def want my next firm to be long term as I've jumped around.

Does industry have billable hours? At the big 4, we are required to work a certain number of hours each week and if we spend too much time on anything we are questioned on why it took so long. Is that a thing when you go in industry?

I’m trying to get all my ducks in a row for when I quit here at the end of next month… I am taking a break to figure out what I want to do, so I will be unemployed for a time.
