I did, the benefits and technology don’t compare. I miss a lot of perks I had at EY. I even miss a lot of their technology I used to complain about. That being said I have heard my old team is now a mess and I am glad I made the move.

like

I would say yes to all of that. It depends on the team you are on to be honest and what you are looking for in the job. The team I left at EY was good at first but over time became toxic. The team I am on here is great, feels like a family so it makes up for the rest. Also at EY I worked more hours. But I guess that depends on the group and industry. There are pros and cons to both. If there is something specific you are concerned about I can try and answer.

Do I work at a toxic workplace?

We had a team touchbase where we as a group were asked our concerns regarding year end. I raised my concerns about staffing/expectations (the team is 75% new) since last year was demanding with us being up to 1 AM the day before deadline.

My director was on the call but not my VP. My VP reached out today and said he doesn’t appreciate hearing such comments on the grapevine but I was confused b/c all i did was answer the question I was asked.

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?
