Have you noticed (either in school or in person) that social-distancing and cleaning standards are becoming more lax?
I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US, and even with combined incomes of $600k, my SO and I can not afford (nor justify) a 3-bedroom house (median price north of $2M). We also work nonstop and I don’t know how we’ll be able to raise a family with our workload and COL. Looking to relocate and find a new job where I work 40 hours a week so I can raise a family, where COL is much lower but we don’t take a massive pay cut. Does such a place exist?? Or am I looking for a fairy tale?
Looking to relocate back to the west coast (specifically San Fran) to be near friends and family. Any recommendations on how to sell yourself back into a coastal market from the Midwest?
Has anyone transferred to San Francisco and received a salary bump for COL? I’m an International Tax Manager making $120k in the northeast and I’d love to move
Anyone know of good therapists/counselors in San Francisco? Would love any pointers, not really sure how to start finding a “good therapist"
Looking for a Finance role in San Francisco within Advertising. Any help on agency’s/shops to look into would be great. Re-locating from NYC.
If anyone is actively searching for a new role; my team is currently trying to fill an AVP Information Security role based in either San Diego, or Charlotte NC (possibly Austin). I work for a large financial company who remarkably had one of our most profitable quarters in company history in Q1. DM me and I can fill you in.
Is it the norm for creatives to move cities every few years for work? What do creatives with families do — live in a major city (NYC, LA, San Fran etc.) to be able to establish a home and have an ad career?
Anyone from McKinsey in San Diego?
Bar recommendations in San Diego?
Just heard today that childcare is re-opening on Monday. It’s a re-enroll or lose your spot situation. Wasn’t ready to make this call so soon! Would you go back? Have an infant; in San Diego, CA; SO and I are WFH.
Anyone know how firms make the decision to post available positions? Who is it that gives HR/marketing the go ahead to post a job opportunity? Managing partner, practice head, others?
I am testing a website. One of the requirement for the coming sprint, is that the home page should support utm parameters- utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. What are the scenarios that I need to cover for this requirement? Any help would be much appreciated.
Google wants me to relocate to Chicago for a job. How is the relocation package? I was told I would receive the details after signing an offer.

Is getting a job in accounting for the management company of many funds a “dead end”? I know it’s a good job with good pay, but would I be “pigeon-holing” myself taking that job?
Need a Senior Accountant. Salary range $75k-85k. Ideal candidate would be a Senior Auditing Associate at a big four looking for that next step.
Ladies, what are your opinions on joining non profits or professional organizations? Have they helped you build your business?
Anybody move to Chicago for a job then end up hating the city? I’ve been here a little under a year and loathe this place.

Two down, two to go for my CPA's... Is there ever a situation where my scores matter? Or is the only thing that matters passing? Feeling like I can slack more with a 94 and 90 under my belt...
Seriously thinking of going freelance because of burnout. But I’m afraid it will be a similar dynamic when I do. How do you make sure that you’re not working 16 hour days and weekends? Are there stipulations you put in contracts or extra $ you charge?
Who here has a manager that they have to “talk back from the ledge”? manager shares unfiltered, unstructured thoughts about how to do things, and instructs you to execute these half baked ideas and you have to talk them out of it, because those ideas will appear poorly-planned, if you do execute them. It is as much about saving your own credibility as it is about saving your manager’s credibility, but because they are argumentative, it is difficult to convince them otherwise.
I’m having a really bad time at KPMG for the last 3 years (currently an S2 and received a nice salary bump and raise). I am sick of the external audits and general high pressure work environment. I have been in touch with ex-KPMG colleagues who have left for Protiviti. They claim they have never worked more than a 45 hour week (which are rare). I applied, and it seems that they are able to match my current KPMG salary and have similar bonuses. Am I making a mistake by transferring firms?
Partner just walked out of the cafeteria and said "gotta go, forgot to take my blood pressure meds! My doctor told me to work less or double the dosage, needless to say I chose the latter" 🤯
What are some of the technical questions/scenarios you are asked during interviews when it comes to SQL/Python? Any specific ones, along with the company would be appreciated.
