How much to ask for in job interview when you have 4.5 years of experience in legal assistant positions? I'm going into a field of law that I don't have any experience in. What does the future look like in consulting? I am a bit nervous jumping from from "industry side" to the "consulting side".

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? One firm closed, which dropped me in another firm which was never good for me, and then into another with a culture that was really unhealthy to me.
