Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

How do you make small talk with people you don’t really have much in common with? Working with a few people in the team and feel like there’s a wall between us I can’t break 😞

Does anyone else have “email social anxiety”? Not with writing emails that have to do with content/work I did, but when I’m “just checking in” and doing vaguely unsaid social things I’ve never understood well.
I feel super awkward and read too into things, it takes me 30+ min for a simple friendly email to a manager or above and I get worked up about it.

How do I get more involved in team room conversations? Any practical tips? I have good comebacks in my head just have trouble voicing them
