I’d like to get off this island now.

I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

Oh, the beauty of the solo Sunday brunch ☺️🍳
Good jobs for introverts? So over consulting.
I agree wholeheartedly:
I have a love-hate relationship with DU.
A bit extreme, still relatable

Add people to your LinkedIn network whenever you have been introduced. Send a note with your invite. Stay in touch with your former coworkers after changing jobs. Attend conferences. Actively maintain and grow your network so that you can lean on them when you need help and vice versa. Good luck!
Maybe direct message other introverts and add them as connections for starters 😎
It’s got to be face to face I’m afraid or you get ignored. Find a way that works for you though. Try and get time with try people 1 to 1 if you don’t like groups.
It’s worth looking for other senior introverts and gravitating towards them.
