While I completely empathize with you on night shifts as I have been there but no ,don’t quit without offer in hand currently imo.
There wouldn’t have been an issue with your plan if you were asking this question like 3 months ago. However now with the lay off situation, I would advise to quit only when you have offer in hand.
This would be my suggestion unless you have a good financial support from your family as a backing or have good amount of emergency fund to sustain till you get your next job. As it sounds like this job is your only source of income.
I would say don’t go with the trip too if you have not spent money on it yet. Just save this money for a while until the situation gets better with the recession and you can always plan a nice vacation later!
Also do work on learning semi technical skills like excel and sql as it will be fruitful for getting your next job with the salary you’re expecting and it can exceed to even more. I am going to be doing this too
Can you suggest if you are doing any certifications for this or self learning
While I understand your situation, quit this company without an offer only if you have enough savings for the next 6 months.
If not, try to understand what domain you want to get into. Upskill yourself technically (may take 3-6 months) and then quit your job.
It doesn't make sense to switch to another BPO cuz of the salary and the night shifts that come alongside.

Take VSP option bro if you got the email. You will get 22 weeks of severance pay.
I gues he has not got the mail as only HR and PXT have got the mail.
Hi @Amazon.... One of my friend have done B.Tech and was in same situation as you in Amazon... I have guided her to take Salesforce and do some training and learn... Within 4 month she was ready as a Salesforce dev... And joined TCS @ 7LPA...
I'd suggest not to leave job and prepare along with it.
All the best bro.... There's huge demand in tech side... Just work on your skills and atleast you'll be able to clear service based companies interview...
See at your stage you need to set your target companies like TCS/Infosys/Wipro/HCl/cognizant etc...
They won't conduct tough interview and l'd say relatively easier than small/mid size companies.
You first decide which tech you wanted to work... Join some coaching institute and start your prep... You'll surely be able to crack interview...
I'd suggest not to leave your current job as this is time taking and would take 4-6 months of prep...
In your resume you can mention about your project and explain them as you have done all these on tech side..
Sorry guys due to limitations of word ,couldn't address my overall issue..Its no more a first day at Amazon...Its became like a BPO...Managers arent friendly anymore...as they are starting work from office from January, I thought I will work from office with better pay in other company.also salary is very less but as per my plan I need guidance from all if I should quit without offer in hand.
