My company recently went through a merger, and as part of the headcount reduction, my role is also impacted. After working here for the past 5 years, it feels difficult to suddenly hear that my employment cannot be extended.

I have 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in Python, PySpark, Airflow, AWS (EMR, S3, Redshift), and Kubernetes ,CTC 15 LPA.

I am now actively looking for new opportunities where I can contribute my skills and continue growing.
Plz advise

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?

Hi google. It's my dream company. I working as a profession Data Analyst. So I observe a many technical things. As I said their is a bug I find in a Google Meet on a meeting. Google meet eventually creates a Multiple windows at a time. Can you fix this bug. I usually see this many times.

I am currently a civil engineer thinking of switching to software engineering. I got my masters in water resource engineering where I was coding a decent amount for assignments and it has really stuck with me. Unfortunately, in my current role and field (civil), I don’t really get to do much coding. Does anyone have a similar experience of jumping ship to do software engineering?
