I am working as a freelancer in a company and got full time oppurtunity from the same company and I am intrested to join. For some period of time, I have been working as freelancer.Can you all let me know the consequences to be handled if I join the company.Will there be any problems with the background check?

I've been in manual testing for 80% of my career. Despite attempts to transfer into a more code-centric role, I never got the opportunity to do so. Now that I'm in a management role, I feel like it's too late to enhance my programming skills.

Suppose I want to transition into a developer role, will self-study be sufficient for passing the necessary requirements for coding jobs? Lately, I've been learning python and using what I learned by solving problems at leetcode.

How do you make room for your continuous learning? Do you carve out time during the day to learn about new technologies? Weekend? Early morning? My greatest fear is getting too comfortable in one area and missing the train for the next thing.

May I know why are we not allowed to eat in shuttle? I was stopped by security guard cz I was eating ... I was hungry,packed up my food,running out of coding work . .. Strange !!

Life as a teacher is difficult. It is stressful as a those in the medical and law enforcement profession.

These are simple facts that people don't get about what we do.

Any Hr people out there..my wife is going through a harassment case against her boss. He is retaliating against her and other staff. On going for years. Most recently she had to take a leave of absence. There is a formal investigation into him. What is the timeline this should take ? And should he be allowed to have 1on1 talks with other staff members?. He is in damage control now trying to buy everyone lunch and doing his own PR tour. Month into investig doesn't seem like much has happend yet.

I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect.
