Hello! I am a licensed Pharmacy Technician. I have completed my externship, now I am looking for a position as a Licensed Pharmacy technician. I have yet to become certified due to having trouble with my math. I am not good in math, never have. Is there any tips on studying the math half and learning how to remember? Any advice? Any study tips? I’m stuck and I don’t want to feel as if I went through this program for nothing. I genuinely love what I have learned! I’m excited for this new career.

You need to buy a book, usually it’s basic math M1V1=M2V2 also you can find free videos online with them walking you through the questions. The exam is relatively easy you do conversions for like 10-15% of the questions and the rest are laws and or questions regarding procedure. I strongly recommend you to get a fundamental understanding of units additionally get the RXCORNER app as you can mess around and study while waiting in line for coffee or whenever you have time.

A tutor is the best way to go. Is that an option for you? The right teacher can make math click for everyone! I say that as someone who struggled in math and ended up loving it.

Curious what others think about this: a friend of mine has a couple of months of leave this fall to study for the CPA exam (they’ll be paid a reduced salary during their leave), but they mentioned they have no intention of studying for the exam, and instead plan to use that time to look for another job. This rubs me the wrong way, but wanted to hear what others think…

I would like to transfer my career to Healthcare Data Analytics. I’m gaining my data analytics certification by the ending of November. I’ve also worked and still currently working for great healthcare company’s. I also have lots of great healthcare data experience. My only concern is no degree. What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

I have an interview for a LTC/Rehab Nurse Manager, Infection Preventionist position next week. My base salary is $40/hour as a charge nurse. With overtime I’ll be finishing the year about $15000 above my base pay. I have questions: first, I know I’ll be putting in at least the same number of hours I’m current working (50+/wk). How do I leverage that to avoid a pay cut. Also, any tips from people in this position?
