Hello, I had my own consumer bankruptcy practice for 12 years but have been working on document review projects for temp agencies for 15 years. I have a great deal of experience in first and second level review, privilege review, privilege logs, and redactions, mostly on Relativity. For first time ever, there do not seem to be any projects. It appears that AI has taken over this field. If anyone knows of any remote projects, please let me know. Thanks.

This might not be a great long-term solution, but if you’re interested in contract work training AI to assist with legal workflows including document review, let me know (pays ~$75-100/hr depending on project)

Have you tried Consilio?

I was wondering when these jobs might disappear due to AI.

I transitioned to work in the court system about five years ago, but I was sensing a decline in the quality of gigs (lower pay, shorter duration, longer time between projects) as far back as 2008.

Anyway, good suggestions from the other people. My suggestion would be to consider going back to consumer bankruptcy work, because there is a huge demand to reduce and eliminate debt. This is especially true for those impacted by student loan debt. If you can litigate the student loan debt for reasonable fees, with good results, you could do very well.

Technology has been eating away at linear review for years now. if you want to continue in ediscovery, you should master the tech. Right now there is booming demand for project managers and discovery consultants who are reasonably proficient with both the technology and the law.
