$43K annually in Seattle isn't just low. According to MIT’s Living Wage Calculator, It's about $10.6K below the living wage in that area. A comfortable income, as well as a much more appropriate one for working a job like that for over 5 years should be no less than twice the living wage, which in your case would be $107K?
What are you living on? Food stamps?
That is extrenely low for that role and especially considering the cost of living in Seattle. I would definitely be asking for a raise if I were you.
It is downright gross that the response to you was to get another job instead of paying you a living wage. I agree completely with the person above, I would just add to make sure that your new job is a 100% done deal before you give your notice. I have seen offers get rescinded before, and you don't want to risk being unemployed in this economy.
I would point out how your wage isn’t enough to live on in your area
You can ask for a “market adjustment.” But do your research and collect data and find out how much people make on average in your area for your job in your industry and use that to negotiate. But to be honest, internal raises and market adjustments don’t make a huge difference. You’re better off looking for a new job, getting a better offer, and leaving.

If what you said to Supervisor 1 on here is true and you're a single parent of 3 children, then according to MIT's Living Wage Calculator, you would need to make $88.62/hr or $184K annually, JUST TO SCRAPE BY. That's over 4 times what you're making now.
You don't just need a better-paying job. Unless you're living rent-free with all food and utilities paid for, you need to relocate to a more affordable location for the sake of you and your children.
