M1 is incorrect. I took the series 7 before the SIE, they are co-requisites. My Series 7 books came before SIE so I started studying for that since I was on a ticking clock
I had 2 weeks to study for the SIE, 4 weeks for the 7, 6 weeks for the 66 (longer for the 66 bc of Christmas holidays). It was a crunch, but doable!
I think you’re better off taking the SIE first. It’s a general industry overview that is a pre-req to most other licenses. You’ll have an easier time with the 7 if you have mastered the information in the SIE books
You have to take the SIE first then you can take what they call a topper which in your case would be the Series 7. Happy Studying 😊
They are co-requisites. You have to have the SIE for your 7 to be valid, but any order is fine. Get your own study guide- office should provide it. Taking the SIE first makes the most sense. The 7 builds on and deepens the information learned in the SIE.
