Hello,

I have an HR round scheduled for a Data Scientist Consultant role at Deloitte. I have 4.8 years of experience and my current ctc is 7.5 LPA. What should be my expected ctc for this role? Also, please share a few tips and tricks that worked for you to negotiate better? Deloitte Deloitte USI KPMG PwC EY

It depends on a few factors:

* The grade Deloitte is looking to hire this role
* Your tech stack and experience in the DS/AI domain
* The most important of all - your current CTC. While there are companies out there that don't care about your current CTC and will pay according to your knowledge and skillset, I highly doubt Deloitte is one of them.

A data scientist with ~5 yoe can earn 20+LPA. I'd suggest 16-20 LPA given your current CTC is not is line with your yoe & role; a rule of thumb - your CTC should ATLEAST be 2x your yoe, for domain like DS, it should be higher.

All this is just to say that if you really have experience across verticals of data science, you can easily get paid 2x-3x your current pay.

Edit: if you're a data analyst in your current role, looking to switch to a data scientist profile, expect 11-14 LPA from Deloitte or other similar firms

Let me share my interview experience with Amazon India

1. Cleared 1 screening and 2 technical rounds. I got confirmation that result is positive but position is closed. We are referring u 4 another role. 2. Again 1 screening and 2 technical rounds which got cleared. On the day of final leadership interview got a call from recruiter that this position is closed. Refering u 4 another role. 3. Direct technical round. Got rejected. No more referal 😀

I just signed the offer letter from Absolutdata acquired by Infogain , and even before joining the company they sent me a welcome kit.
I am unsure of joining them in case I get a better counter offer, but I am a bit worried now since they already sent me a welcome kit. I am wondering what made them sure that I will join them and not any other company. Is it that after signing offer letter I cannot join other company?
