How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
How is WLB in Samsung compared to Intel.

Depends on how you definite that.
I've found it depends on a few factors.
1. The team
Bad teams expect you on after 6.
2. The client
Some clients are always planning and that's why it's hard to have a balance. Think about retail, sales are always around holidays so expect to work during holidays because of the nature of the business.
3. The time of year
Every client has a busy season and you should expect to work harder during that time. During low or regular season it should 9-6, if your working later than that during quiet times of year you need to ask yourself what's the case.
a. Are you under staffed/underscoped?
b. Are you personally working efficiently?
c. Are you taking on too much work and not giving work to your team and/or boss?
Agencies are a crap shoot when it comes to balance but there should be some depending on those factors. If you think about your balance and it's based on scope, bad clients or bad team culture consider a different team internally or externally.
I’m told that there are, but I’ve yet to see it personally.
It is completely dependent on the team you’re on. When I was on a small brand, I worked late every night because of my bosses. Then I was on major brands and was off by 6 every day. Has nothing to do with the agency.
