I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). Trying to explain billable hrs to hubs. I billed 160 this month, which he said “is only 40 hr weeks” (true) - but how many hrs do you figure you “work” or are in the office to bill 150?

I’m a first year doing IP due diligence and I’m finding that it’s a great learning opportunity on what *not* to do for contracts/contracting processes.

Has anyone else found this to be true? What are your takeaways?
