I work at Glassdoor and have the opportunity to speak with employers regularly about their workplace Culture.
What activities or experiences do you think could help employers build empathy & understanding about our experience at work? I'd love your thoughts!

Have them go through an experience where a client assumes they are gay, and when they try to correct the client's understanding they are let with various forms of disapproval or judgment. (teaches importance of allyship)

Have them to through an experience where they need to network in order to progress in the activity, but rather than everyone being able to bond over kids or spectator sports they can't get anyone to talk to them unless they talk about gay pop culture and lgbt normative topics or any other topic that a typical hetero suburban professional wouldn't inherently have an interest in . (teaches about the glass ceiling)

Hire people that have good comprehension skills. Hire bosses that are not insecure. Insecure bosses don't even realize how efficient their employees are because they're too busy bottlenecking the workplace so to get anything done,only they can get it done. That's supposed to be a boss perk right? Having efficient staff that can act in their boss's absence? Ok say a bus breaks down and the boss is out of town. The boss has assistants for each shift. The bus breaks down on the third shift and the third shift has to wait for an ok via international fax to approve the bus being removed from service. The bus engine burned down, everyone can see it and smell it and the bus won't move. The 3rd shift should have the authority to say ,the bus needs to be checked out by maintenance and repaired. Why? Because you need that bus in service and long before the boss returns. But.... because the boss wants for everyone to recognize that he is the one in power, we're down a very necessary bus. Omfg.

I have a suggestion, how about Glassdoor stop masquerading that it keeps comments/reports about employers from employees confidential? This results in retaliation against the employee and it was under the premise that the post/comment would be confidential or anonymous.

What is the increment cycle in tiger analytics?

I've been almost 3 years in my previous company and never have I ever tasted any raise from them. I got transferred to different accounts and LOB it was so exhausting and finally when I decided to leave and send my resignation my Supervisor be like "you know you should be thankful of your job" To be honest the job was very stressful and supervisor at some point is somehow toxic but thankful I get to take my leave.

Both my grandparents died within the last few years (husband/wife) and now the siblings (including my dad) need to divide up the remaining estate. I need some advice. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration with 20 plus years working in different Healthcare roles. I am working as a PBM Claim Specialist. I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. I know I will get hated by saying this. Do you think gay pride events are portraying a bad image about our community to public? (Drugs, sexual, inappropriate clothes, and sometimes like strip clubs- some parts). I know it is right to present us but I just feel it is not the right way to show who we are. I wish the pride where everybody can connect in a more friendly way (outdoor game- team work, dance, drink something not too sexual.) there are some good parts of pride tho. Any opinions?
