I myself also took this route, I am not going to lie it’s a lot of info and need to multitask. I been in dialysis for 18 yrs and did not see me going nowhere and took this route to get experience. The pay is better and I hope the experience is going to be good. But you will need a lot of patience.
I love honesty ❤️
If you think a career change would make you happy and you have the time and means to pursue this then I said go for it. No sense in sticking around at a job. You’re not happy with if you have the ability to switch things up. Good luck to you.
That is my area. I came from the floor. If you are working somewhere you can always ask your DON or Administrator to reach out to the MDS consultant for the company or ask them. MDS is typically under the Administrator & often serves as the left hand person in LTC.
I would recommend going on Facebook or LinkedIn and join a MDS Group there is a lot of great resources & information out there. You just have to make sure it’s the most accurate for your area. There is a lot of information and you are constantly learning along with educating & providing guidance to the floor staff, which can be very rewarding. Good luck!!!!
Hello thank you so much for your advice.. appreciate it
That can be a good move, but make sure you're someone who isn't put off by paperwork or regulations. I mean, that's pretty much the job. Still, it can be a good move with advancement possibilities. Talk to people doing the job and try to get a feel for how you think you might like it.
