I'm overwhelmed, underappreciated, and constantly doubted, if not downright disregarded as the HR Department of One in my organization.

I feel like I'm not being taken seriously (I have to prove everything that I say and sometimes validate what I already proved to be true).

I issue a directive or advice that's overturned or request documentation necessary for ER investigations and I'm basically told NO and reprimanded.

I feel like I know what I should do but how should I proceed?

Conflicted 2nd Year Associate here. I generally like my firm but obviously hate the practice of law (biglaw). I've been offered a fairly generous comp package to take a non-attorney compliance role with a FAANG company. While there is a modest base pay cut, the total comp (sign on + annual bonus + options) beats where I'm at now and probably will be better than Cravath-scale (including bonus) through at least Year 4. Since I know I'll bail for in-house anyway, should I go now or wait?
