Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

You are certified and have the right skills, and trust me there's a huge demand for BA's right now as I'm currently in the job switch process.
A couple of pointers that I have for you :
1. Make a really good CV so that it is shortlisted by companies. Also make a good job portal profiles with right key words so that you get recruiter attention.
2. Companies take your current CTC as a base and give a hike on it, as you have 2 years of experience, if you negotiate well you can get 10-12 lpa easily as BA's are in demand.
3. Money is important I understand but more than that what domain you work in becomes more and more important as you grow in your career. So choose a domain very carefully, I would suggest Banking, Payments, Investments etc as the demand of BA is highest among these domains and salary will grow as well.
4. Keep switching every 1.5-2 years so that your salary is up to market standards.
5.keep learning, get certifications be it of BA like CBAP, scrum certifications maybe as well.
6. There are some additional skills you can learn like testing(UAT), wireframing, they come in handy as some companies need this in their BA's.
This is a rewarding line with a good WLB and ample opportunities, however you landed in it, thank your stars.

The favourite topic of interviewers for this role is agile/scrum so prepare well for it. Most questions are asked on that topic only. Be prepared for questions on gap analysis, requirements gathering, prioritisation techniques etc.
What are your technical skills? Do you look forward to work as a BA in enterprise systems or in Analytics?
10+ lpa is definitely possible in any good product company. Use linkedin well. I see a lot of new opportunities everyday there. All the very best!
