A good place is, Start. Stop. Continue.
What activities, behaviors, communication channels etc does the customer prefer, what of these activities should be started, stopped and some activities that keep going. Also truly understand their business how they operate (make money) and how your organization either helped them get there or can help them in the future. Every interaction should align with executive initiatives that are funded. Listen more than you talk and be a trusted advisor. Good luck!
Thank you!!
It’s a great time to uncover what the client wishes would change or isn’t working well. Sometimes they will open up to a new set of ears in the room. Good luck - you got this!
Thank you !!
Don’t treat it temporary- come in with the mindset that you’re a new addition to the team and come in with confidence. No one will blame you for mistakes because you’re new, but they will see you taking proactive steps and like a leader on the team
Thanks you so much love this !!
Start onboarding yourself via the website and whatever materials and status reports you can find in the meantime. This way you can write down some questions and when you get the actual onboarding, you can have some foundation to start from and fill in the gaps.
Out of the gate, do whatever is it you do well right up front and build some instant trust- aka, organization, excel framework, submissions, etc. I’ve jumped on client teams in dire situations and did submissions for them the same day (just years of veeva) and spruced up file organization and put together some quick lists. A week into it, you’ve established yourself as someone the client sees as someone with a head on their shoulders with value, then with the rest of your time just start to get all the brand info and processes down as you get used to the team rhythm.
Congrats and you got this

Quick follow up on this I’ve become a glorified admin assistant and they want me in 5 days a week when the company policy is 2 😭😭😭 relative to the salaries within the team if I’m the most junior person I’m getting paid less so can’t afford to go in daily and buy lunch then get a pint afterwards
