Not long ago I obtained bachelors and in the interim I have been working at Morgan Stanley. I started thinking about next steps for my education and initial thought was to just go straight to MBA but then I started hearing about people with BS in Business and Masters in different areas not that closely related. Is it even possible to to do for instance masters in law if I only have bs in business or for example masters in something related to renewable energy or so?

I’m currently an AD but have always been interested in production. How hard would the transition be? Is it worth it? Would I have to start from the bottom again money wise?

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. My 3-person team spends about 15+ hours a month each writing monthly reports for our clients (99 small retainer clients). We’ve received feedback that they’re too complicated and the clients just want to know - are we on the right track, what action items are there, and what any next steps are in their strategy.

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms.
