Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. Hello fishes,
I have a background in finance and 6+ YOE of professional work experience, I had to leave CA in between due to family emergency and started working (although only 1 group of CA final is left, 1 is cleared already), so can anyone provide an insight if being CA qualified is a mandatory requirement in EY and EY GDS in position of Manager in Accounting, auditing,FAAS,AWM teams etc
Would appreciate any insight, as seems HR everywhere just see degree and not the relevant work ex..

You should ask to speak with the head of the business you are on for clear growth goals and ask for an acct sup role description. Every place is different but to the points above it takes longer to move into a sup role bc you are shifting your role from doing to thinking. Takes a beat to find your voice and confidence
There’s a significant shift from just “doing” / executing / getting shit done >> to being strategic about the work, offering solutions that sometimes differ from the brief, and lots of critical thinking. In my experience, you’re always already doing the job before you get promoted up to the title.
It’s been my experience that mid level positions are left out of the meetings and upfront planning where the strategic thinking happens. I’m not allowed in the room with a mid level title. I can’t get to the next level without being in the room. Advice?
If you aren’t being let into the room, have this conversation with your manager and that it’s for your professional growth. I had it with mine and they understood and fought to include me in those.
