I got an offer from HCL Tech_Banglore, where the variable component is consisting of 2 parts where one would be paid monthly and the 2nd one would be based on performance and would be paid half yearly.
This is the communication I had got from the HR, but am not sure how the 1st part of variable would be paid monthly as fixed!
Can someone please help to confirm on this soon as my last working day is in 2 days and I need to confirm the authenticity and finalize the joining firm. HCL Tech

Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

Is Hillingdon/ Uxbridge a nice area to live and commute into London? SO is starting a job in Ox so considering living somewhere in between.

Alternatively, would it be better to just live in Ox and getting a train into Marlybone (my commuting tolerance is higher than my SO)?
