I did a loop by flying into Vegas, then seeing Hoover Dam, Sedona, Grand Canyon south rim, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, a Lake Powell cruise, Grand Canyon north rim, Bryce Canyon and Zion. Loved it. I do plan to go back sometime to do more of Bryce, Canyonlands. Moab and Monument Valley and will probably fly into SLC for that though Vegas and Phoenix are options. Realize hat you’ll lose most of a day each way going from SLC to Grand Teton and Yellowstone and it’s a much longer drive between those parks and the southern Utah/northern Arizona parks. They are *absolutely* worth visiting but visiting those may be a separate trip depending on how much time you have. Also, get an “American the Beautiful” pass that gets one vehicle into parks and monuments for one year to save on entrance fees.
I did it in 10 to not be rushed. Could have taken even longer and seen some of the destinations more thoroughly.
Just flew into SLC yesterday & drove to Jackson Hole this morning. Spending 4 days here (Grand Teton and Yellowstone), then heading to Moab for Arches &Canyonlands for a couple of days. Am spending a day in Park City in between to break up the drive.
FYI can still change flight and itinerary today. Looked into renting RV but price didn’t seem worth it compared to $250 a night hotel + car rental. Also are there any better parks to visit? Eg Yosemite. (NYC based)
If you can change flight, i suggest- las vegas, grand canyon, antelope canyon.
