I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? I have received an offer as SD1 at Amazon Gurgaon. I have 1 yr and 6 months of experience. I did my BTech in computer science from 2016-20. I had some active backlogs as well. Due to covid, many exams were not conducted and as for the ones that did happen, the results are taking forever to come. Right now I have one backlog and the result is yet to be announced. I am positive I will pass. Will this affect my offer from Amazon during background check as I am yet to receive degree?

I wanted to know how long does Course5i take to release an offer, I cleared all rounds last friday and was going to get an offer from HR early this week (by Monday evening or Tuesday) but didn’t get any offer till now.

I loved the role and I am still excited to join the organisation so mailed a follow up to the HR yesterday but did not get any response till now. I do not want to follow up for the next 1-2 days since I feel it would be too pushy from my end.

In house interview- I am going to hopefully the final round of interview to meet the whole legal team. I was asked about my availability, and it will take 5 hours if in one day. Should I split to multiple days? Will it cause any issues? Anyone on both sides can speak from their experience? Thanks!

A question from a youngster. Is working at a big big company with slightly low pay better or working at a much smaller company with higher pay better?

In the future, after a few years, let’s say I’m at a small company and want to switch to big big company, will the “small names” hurt my chance to get into the big doors?

I mean big big company is like 10x bigger than the small one if this was a factor. Assume everything else the same, WLB, commute, teams, etc.
