This looks like a better than average offer for a Big4 firm at manager level.
Are you referring to Middle East average salaries?
Your savings / cost of living are wholly dependent on your personal circumstances. Do you have a family? Do you like to drive a nice car? Do you like to go on holiday multiple times a year? Do you want an apartment or more space etc etc etc. If you give a bit more detail, I could help give some more guidance.
On work itself, the region is not as sophisticated as Canada however it is really investing a lot of money in Data & AI so I think it could be a solid growth area.
Work culture is, again, subjective - but coming from the West it will be a shock to the system.
In my family, it’s just my wife and me, and we don’t have any children yet. The car is covered under my employment benefits up to AED 2,500. I’m aiming to save money over the next 4–5 years until our child is ready to start school, so a modest apartment would be suitable for us.
OP did you get this offer from a consulting firm in Middle East? Which firm do you currently work at?
How did you negotiate your comp? This seems to be low for Dubai given the COL
I moved to the region and came back to Canada within an year. It has its own pros and cons and depends on your personal circumstances. Happy to share if you have any specific questions.
