Australian living in the US here, so hopefully can lend some advice.
By digital nomad I assume you mean the working holiday visa for under 30s? If you qualify then move on that one 100%, get you sponsored work visa later.
Reason I say that is Australian companies firmly prioritize Australian workers to ensure local talent is being built (as they should), so for a foreigner it will be extremely tough to get sponsored. That being said, once your physically in Australia that can make things a lot easier for you, as Australians are also quick to adopt foreigners as one of their own (if we like you that is 😜)
So my advice; get a working holiday visa, enjoy Australia, then once you’re there start looking for sponsored roles if you know you’re going to need one. I assume it’s because you want to stay in Australia, because the working holiday visa is more than enough if you’re going temporarily.
