Everything SPM1 said is true. I’ll add: this market is wild right now. I’ve seen everything from 450/day to 1,200/day for a freelance SPM. The lower end is smaller agencies, in-house, and LCOL based areas. The higher end is big name/tech for very experienced SPMs or director level.
No. As someone self-employed, the perspective is you work if and as much as you want to work.
I’d say it depends on
- location
- your years and kind of experience
- the industries in which you’re working.
IT and tech roles tend to be higher.

Right now it’s not really happening. Freelancers are being low balled well def in NYC as well as my friend in London. I might get my preferred market place rate & the majority of times. Allot of candidates are submitted. Even if it’s remote or hybrid. Good luck 🍀
