What are exit opportunities from M&A consulting?

why do people work in FDD? what are the goals you hope to achieve, what are exit opps, etc? i’ve seen common exit opp into FP&A but why not go straight to FP&A? what are some advantages of being in FDD for your career?

I have a bit of a dilemma! I'm a vendor at Apple and just was offered a vendor role at Meta (with better pay and far better PTO). I'm in the mix for a permanent role at Hootsuite in product management but at early interview stage and could take 2 weeks. I have to sign my Meta/vendor offer letter tomorrow but the Hootsuite role would be FTE and more money. Is it unethical to sign the Meta offer letter, as I'm being pressed, and then drop out if I get the Hootsuite role?

Looking for some advice... I am up for promotion to senior consultant for end of year (most likely won’t find out results for a while). Do I have a shot at applying to a senior con level position at another firm before I *hopefully* get the promo?

Before covid, how did you handle setting boundaries about going home at a certain time? I have a dog and my wife will handle him most of the time (flexible job), but sometimes I’ll have to. What would you choose? Brand new Genesis GV70 V6 or CPO BMW X3 M40i? I test drove both and preferred dealership, tech, warranty, interior of the GV70 but preferred the performance and brand cachet of the BMW and still can’t decide lol.
