I interviewed with a top big law firm last week for a Senior Project Manager role. I felt fairly good and confident post the interviews. Sadly I was not given the offer. I remember the Director mentioned that I was over qualified for the position. I’m currently a Consultant… I’m guess I’m not sure how to take the “over qualified” response. Prior to the interviews, I felt I needed more experience …. Lol. Anyone else felt the same?

Leaving for a series C unicorn company with less than 1 YOE. Should I stay in consulting? The TC is 15% lower but the hours are 9-5 and ex MBB people with 3 YOE exit to the same position but one level above me.

Received a verbal offer/commitment from the engineering team 3 weeks after my interview process. Still sitting and waiting (1.5 weeks) to have the conversation about compensation expectations and finalizing the offer. Is the Google hiring process typically this slow? I’m looking for a new job, working remotely, that doesn’t require a Bachelor’s. (I’m currently going back to school to get one, as I only have an Associate’s in Mathematics right now)
I had positions in private sector that allowed me to supplement having a degree with experience but not in public sector. I’ve seen coworkers get positions they aren’t able to do simply because they have a degree and then leave a mess for me to clean up but I’m not allowed to have the position. Any suggestions?
