Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

I’m not bad with money but definitely lots of room to improve overall, due to several personal factors I don’t want to list in full here (numerous unanticipated medical bills, bad boyfriends, etc.) Hence why I only have $3k in savings right now. I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.
