New to WD- client was supposed to request a “sandbox refresh exemption” but I just got the “down for maintenance” screen. Does this only happen for tenants being refreshed or for all regardless?
I have worked with Forbes top companies, for-profits, non-profits, & startups. I consider myself a solver of complex & complicated problems requiring mixed method research & novel solutions. This has led to issues in self-referencing title. I’ve been project manager, data engineer, developer, modeler, analysts, principle DB developer, etc. Most of my w2 work has been from offers of 1099 clients so I am usually asked to define my own title. Any T-shaped data people who run into this?
Are agency PMs paid more than brand side PMs? I work at a small brand and we don’t project manage Verizon type high paying clients nor are we a fortune100 tech company. Wonder what is a fair pay for someone with 2-5 years experience (I saw the spreadsheet but focus is agency it’s looks like). Like 40-75k seems to be the range?
How do you deal with a client that is reluctant to give you the needed information and gets pissy with you when you ask for more thorough explanations I don’t wanna ruin the client relationship dynamic but almost every single engagement I am on the client is always in a bad mood. Is it me?? I try to be super nice.
Hello! I’m looking for a mentor. I’ve been working as a social media professional for five years now (two years brand-side > three years agency-side). I recently moved in the house (still an agency, but not client-facing) and struggling with work pace, being more visible, and producing more quality work. I would love to learn from your experiences!
In case it’s relevant, I’m an immigrant POC living in the US.
I have Asperger's. And migraines. Today the client had an activity after work for us until 7:30, then they took an hour to decide where to go for dinner while we all sat around and waited like stupid
How to get onto my first actual strategy project? Experienced hire, consultant level in US. Been on a pmo outside of OP for 10 months…about to roll off
Anyone know what full-time remote project manager salaries are, for those who work in healthcare? How do you get into something like that? I’m currently in my mid 20’s and manage ambulatory medical clinics, after previously managing nursing homes, with my bachelors in healthcare Administration but am honestly getting burnt out in my current role.
Client wouldn’t settle this afternoon for the dollar equivalent of less than an hour of my billable time. Clients, man, clients.
Say if the pay was largely at par, what would you prefer 1) service handful of clients in your industry / region with more of client specific challenges and high level of operational control on outcomes 2) run a large national P&L with more of strategic challenges but limited direct control on outcomes.
I know as attorneys of color, we often find ourselves being in a room with dozens of attorneys and still were the only attorney of color (I’m a brown woman, very often the only brown person AND only woman in the room). I’m starting to attend more client meetings and depositions, trials, etc. and I’m noticing it more and it’s starting to distract me bc I start overthinking it in the moment. How do y’all deal with that?
How is it goes in ZS client vs pod? A, AC, C, M levels.
AC, C do min work at times.
How does promotions and other things work? Is it just how you retain business with clients or how is it justified like who is working what in the project?
Are people expected to continue doing what they are doing right now? Do people have to take extra initiatives climbing up the ladder or work will be assigned from upper hierarchy themselves.
Where and how to discuss these honest things to get genuine answers
In beginning talks with Deloitte and Salesforce and looking for salary range advice. Over 25 years experience in IT Project Management/solutions development/business architecture role. Experience in system integrations. LCOL city. Three years SFMC managing implementations and technical developers. Looking as Sr Solutions Architect at SF or consultant/manager role with D. My current Comp is 127k base, 20% bonus and 7k RSU. Thanks!
Looking for some advice. Not a regulatory lawyer by training. Partner asked me to research an issue and determine (on a budget and on a time crunch) whether a particular regulation applied to our client’s niche industry. I, on that budget and time crunch, determined it did not. Couple of weeks go by, client is still working on the issue without me, and decide to put me in touch with opposing counsel who point out additional authorities and cites and convinces me it applies. (More in 1st comment)
Would you take high risk / high reward consulting gig at a small firm? Comp is hourly and project based. Firm has a good foothold in the niche market. Offers lots of flexibility. But no benefits and since it’s project and hourly based it’s feast or famine. If you have a partner (spouse, domestic partner, etc.) and they had a stable job, would it change your perspective of taking the high risk/high reward role?
Interested in being a Advisory or Board member of a Fintech. Have diverse tech engineering, financial services and startup background. Intention: meet new folks, get exposed to and solve new problems (outside of primary gig)
Where and how to start?
Anyone have off tomorrow? I’m 90% sure I don’t…

Has anyone reapplied to Georgia Tech to switch from OMSA to OMSCS? I’d like to know if some of the courses I’ve taken while doing the OMSA could transfer over.
Aiming to transition from Finance to Analytics Consulting (think BCG Gamma): Would you recommend getting a Master’s degree in Business Analytics or Data Science? Undergraduate degree was also Finance and no prior programming experience.
All you Tableau folk- have a question that's been bothering me like crazy all day. I cannot whatsoever get my worksheets to overlap in my dashboard using parameters. Parameter itself works fine, but they keep taking up half of my screen rather than just overlapping to take up the full screen. Using containers and watched countless videos, I can't see what I'm doing wrong! Plz help!
Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?

Is alteryx core certification hard? Been using alteryx for a while and just refreshed my knowledge of the tools covered on the exam.
Why does business analytics equate to analytics platforms that enable insights? I come from a background of a phd in math and where I developed custom algorithms for a DoD client that met their needs, but now that I’ve transitioned to a retail client, analytics suddenly means “tools” or “platforms”. What happened to the creativity to say there’s this mathematical formula in this other field that does X and another that does Z and if you stitch them together, it’s what you what (I.e company IP)?
What’s everyone’s thoughts about C3 AI from a product/company stance/market leadership perspective? Thinking about making the jump there from DS Consulting after getting an offer....
On a project using Java, Spring Boot, Angular. Seemingly no Python or any other common data science tools. I really feel no desire to learn this whole new stack if I’m being honest because I feel like I’m essentially a software developer
