Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?
Is financial engineering a thing?

20 is really stretching it with 3YOE and Infosys. I'll be very surprised if they pay so much for something as generic these days as tableau. If the market wasn't so hot right now, their recruiter will laugh you out for even quoting that figure. Just be safe, don't lose your offer.

You can expect anything but thats feasible only if you can crack right company. For eg: your tech is tablaue - a visualization tool for which you'll get mostly 15 LPA in most of the companies with your experience level.
But if you can crack Salesforce (tablaue's owner company) interview then you can expect 20+ easily.

Agree to the larger point but even Salesforce doesn't pay that high for 3 YOE. I interface with lot of folks from tableau, qlik and microsoft. Tableau roles are mostly selling focused and I have not seen that high comps, let alone so little experience as a sales consultant.

Haha...no way

You are already at a higher range. Don't think they will offer anything beyond 15.
Small Suggestion:
Don't move outside the bracket to some extra ordinary salary. Not to scare you but I have seen people loose jobs at very high salaries; especially when the CTP (Cost to Project) and ROI (Return on Investment) ratio came higher than the prescribed limit.
This ofcourse doesn't mean that you should remain underpaid. Ask for what you think you actually deserve at this YOE.
Try with 17. You may get the offer. Otherwise your profile will be on hold. Next try to get the offers (20 LPA) from other companies and then negotiate with Infosys.
Im not sure if getting extraordinary hike is good. I got 19 lpa at 3yoe and wondering if i did a mistake at joining this comp as not sure if ill be able to meet expectations.
Thanks a lot everyone. Much appreciated. i think i should ask around 16-17...
haan bhai 20 to bahot jyda nahi hoga 😂😂😂😂
just wanted to add here that this is my Promotion Year.. so gonna reach around 12 for sure...if this condition works for 18LPA?
